SEX; Your perspective on sex should align with what God has revealed in His Word. Sex is not a bad thing; it serves God’s procreative purpose.
Did you know that God's first command to humans involved SEX: Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. From the beginning, sex was intended to be part of God’s perfect design—but specifically for marriage, as Jesus made clear in Matthew 19:4-9. God's perfect plan is for a man and woman to come together in marriage and then sex can take place without shame.
God knows our hearts, and we should abstain from even lustful thought towards those we are not married to. Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 “whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Looking at nude pictures and videos of those you are not married to is a heart problem, and Jesus Himself teaches that it is a sin that separates you from God.
When it comes to the topic of sex, our thoughts and our body only belong to the one person of the opposite sex that we are married to. 1 Corinthians 7:2-5 Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. (3) Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband.
Sex within marriage is pure and honorable. Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Here’s where the problem comes in. When sex happens outside of marriage, sin occurs—whether it’s fornication or adultery. Sin has consequences. 1 Corinthians 6:9 warns that those who practice such will not inherit the kingdom of God. The passage goes on to teach that in Christ, you can be forgiven. 1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
If you want your actions to align with the will of God, you will keep your mind pure and your body pure from sexual thoughts and actions outside of a proper marriage. You will wait until you are married to have sex, and then you will only have sex with the one person that you are married to.
The Bible teaches us to abstain from sin. God's plan is a beautiful plan and you will be thankful that you kept yourself for that one special person who you can marry and grow with until death do you part.
